Where have you been?
I guess that’s the main question that everyone has been asking. Actually, I’ve been extremely busy working on a project.
The project is Deal Bodega. As you can imagine, it takes quite a bit of time to not only create the site but to enter the products, descriptions, prices, shipping information, inventory and countless other things associated with it.

With other online retailers:
You place an order.
The vendor reorders your order from an overseas company.
The overseas company ships (hopefully) your order to you.
You anxiously wait. Typically 30-60 days for your order to arrive.
During those 30-60 days while you are waiting, you are checking daily to see where the order is because they gave you a tracking number.
While checking the tracking number, oftentimes it reads, “Shipping company has not received parcel #1234567″ or “Parcel #1234567 is at Customs Warehouse” or “Office of Exchange Has Received Information for Parcel #1234567″.
So after a week or two of reading “Shipping company has not received Parcel #1234567″ or your order was delivered to the wrong destination or another tracking message, you contact the Person/Company where you placed the order and typically 1-3 days later, they respond to you stating that they will check into your order. What happens behind the scenes is that they are in turn contacting the drop shipping company that they use who may or may not respond to them, depending upon how legitimate that “dropshipper” is. Let’s say that “dropshipper” is legitimate. They respond a few days later to the Person/Company that you placed your order with only to say that 1) Here’s a new tracking number (Hopefully, the new tracking number is good) 2) Item was returned to their overseas company 3) That item is not in stock 4) They will reship the order
So in turn, the Person/Company that you ordered from relays the message to you and by now you have already waited 1-2 weeks and still wondering if/when your order will arrive. It is frustrating because the communication goes….. You ——–>Person/Company you ordered from ——–>Overseas Company ——–>Back to Person/Company you ordered from ——->You
It can be confusing and frustrating!
The Person/Company that you are ordering from in the above scenario doesn’t care how long it takes for you to receive your order. Why? Because if your order never arrives they will simply say, “I’m sorry, here’s your refund.” They don’t care because they have “No Skin In The Game” as the saying goes. All they are doing is replacing an order that you placed with them.
Meanwhile, you have waited weeks for an order that has not arrived, your money and time has been tied up, you are not speaking to the person that has control of shipping your order and you don’t know if or when your order will ever arrive because you have been exchanging emails and waiting for replies from a person that has no control of your shipment.
Oftentimes, what also happens is that you place the order…the Person/Company you ordered from replaces the order with a “dropshipper”……the “dropshipper tells the Person/Company with whom you placed the order that the price has changed……the Person/Company you placed the order with then tells you that the item is no longer available, out of stock, etc. Unbeknownst to you that it was actually because the price changed and the Person/Company you ordered from isn’t going to go ahead and place the order, thus taking a loss. It’s easier for them to just tell you it’s out of stock and refund your money. So again, your money and time has been tied up… not to mention any processor fees for refunding.
Let’s look at Scenario #2.
You order from Deal Bodega:

You place your order.

Your order arrives to you!
